Good nutrition starts early.
—
Feeding our children happens every day. When everything is going smoothly it can be a wonderful and rewarding experience. However, at other times it can be quite challenging. With all the information available in the media, medical community and learned habits passed from previous generations, feeding your children may not be as simple as it seems. Eating well is a learned skill that is developed over time by intuitively listening to your bodies signals and providing it wholesome, less refined foods. In general, there is an absence of support and education in the community for new parents regarding how, when and what to feed their children. This makes it especially challenging to navigate the early childhood years and feel confident.
As a registered dietitian I have the clinical experience required to support you and your child’s needs. My focus is listening to clients first and then creating unique nutrition plans to help you overcome challenges such as picky eating, nutritional deficiencies, poor growth, overeating and the overweight child, disordered eating patterns, feeding the child with special needs, transitioning to a vegan/vegetarian diet, etc. My intention is to promote intuitive eating and provide both parents and children with compassionate support, knowledge and guidance to help families reach their nutrition and health goals.
